Battlefield 2042 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The game will release on November 19th, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Its a successor of Battlefield V that launched in 2018. Battlefield 2042 will come with multiplayer warfare only and will not have any single-player campaign. The game is not free to play.
Battlefield 2042 is based on the future and features futuristic weapons and gadgets like drones and automatic machine guns. The players can be specialists in one of the four traditional Battlefield gameplay, which are Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. Each player is equipped with unique gadgets and combat skills. Battlefield 2042 will launch with seven maps, each map set in a different location. Extreme weather conditions such as tornadoes or sandstorms make the gameplay more intense for players by reducing the visibility.

In Battlefield 2042, the server capacity will probably increase. EA states that the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S will support 128 players in a single match. For PS4 and Xbox One, it will be only 64 players for now. Battlefield 2042 will introduce Portal mode. In this mode, players will be able to host their own Battlefield servers. We can customize a match that will match our desires and expectations. Players can customize elements such as health, weapons loadout, and many more settings. Private servers were a part of Battlefield games previously but were later was removed. These new private servers will revive content from the previous three Battlefield games, making it more fun to play.
Gameplay modes in Battlefield 2042
Battlefield 2042 will mainly have three gameplay modes which are, “All-Out-Warfare,” which includes two staple modes, “Breakthrough” and “Conquest”. In Conquest, two teams fight against each other to conquer control points. In Breakthrough, one team attacks to capture the other’s control point, while the other tries to defend it. The other two main modes are Hazard mode and Portal mode.
