Fix Account Merge Not Working in Overwatch 2
Players are not being able to merge their Overwatch account with Overwatch 2 that easily. There have been reports of missing skins, items, cosmetics, and other items after the merge. Here’s a guide that will help you fix the merge account issue in Overwatch 2.
Method 1
To avoid the merging issue, you will have to link your console account to the Battle.net account. If you have not done it yet then follow the steps below.
- Login to your Overwatch account from the console device.
- Now keep following the prompts and then scan the QR code on your smartphone.
- Enter the code in your console and then connect or create your battle.net account to the console.
- Next, when you log in to the game, you will receive the prompt to merge Overwatch accounts.

Method 2
If the accounts are linked you need to wait for some time and the items sync. The sync can be over in a few hours or can even take a couple of days depending on the player’s database. So all you need to do is just wait until the sync is over and you will get all items after the merge.
Method 3
If none of the above solutions work then the last solution is to open a ticket on Blizzard support and let them know about your issue. The support team will get back to you in a day or two.
Blizzard is also developing a fix from the client side to boost the merge and avoid all occurring issues. This problem will soon be fixed in the next patch update of the game.
