Some of the users are facing issues with their Oculus Quest 2 headset. The device is either not working or it is showing a black screen. There can be many reasons for this, but the prime reason is lack of charge or some system glitch. Here’s a list of solutions that you can try to fix the Oculus quest 2 not working issue.

  • Make sure that your VR device and headset are fully charged. If the headset is not charged then you will see a black screen.
  • Check if the headset is connected to the wifi and with the Oculus App on your phone. Look for any pending updates and update your headset.
  • While there’s a black screen in the Oculus, press the menu button on the left controller and then the Oculus button on the right controller. You will access to the Oculus Menu and then try to open any app to fix the issue.

  • Go to Oculus App on your phone and check if the app connects with the headset and try launching a game from the app. When the game launches put on your headset and check for the black screen.
  • Check for the proximity sensor by covering the sensor with your thumb after the black screen may go away. You can also try cleaning the sensor with a dry microfiber cloth.
  • Reset your Oculus quest 2 headsets by pressing and holding the power button for at least 10 seconds.  This may fix the issue of the VR not working.
  • Lastly, you can go for a factory reset of the device. It will remove all the data from the headset and will return to the original factory state. You need to backup all the data before you undergo the factory reset.
