Tokyo Revengers: Review
Tokyo Revengers came out with massive hype among the fans. Its action-packed story and time-traveling themes stood out among the shonen series. This anime is one of the highest-rated anime shows of 2021. Since the story had a completely new theme, fans naturally found it interesting. Tokyo Revengers portrays excellent character development.
The best part of the show is that the protagonist is very realistic and relatable. Each character is unique and develops in their own manner. It also features some of the most emotional scenes in recent anime shows. With a wonderful direction and catchy original soundtracks, the aesthetic of the show is loved by many. But the show isn’t without flaws.
Tokyo Revengers has rather inconsistent writing. Fans have pointed out many plot holes and inconceivable actions of the characters in the show. The animation, while generally amazing, becomes wonky at times. The pacing of the show is also very slow compared to other shows. Regardless of the problems with the story, it is quite an interesting watch.
Is Tokyo Revengers worth watching?
Tokyo Revengers might not be the most well-written and compact story ever, but that does not mean that the anime is not worth it. Quite the contrary, fans have claimed that despite the inconsistency in writing and slow pacing, Tokyo Revengers is an entertaining series to watch. The characters and direction are just so amazing that they keep the audience hooked on the show, despite its shortcomings. It will be best to check out the first few episodes of the anime and then decide if the show is worth continuing or not.
