Sonic Colors Ultimate: Can you play offline?

In the world of gaming, all of us are familiar with a ‘blue hedgehog ’, a.k.a the sonic, the hedgehog. Feel nostalgic already? The character of Sonic, known for its supersonic speed is indeed a part of our childhood. Owned and developed by a Japanese franchise, Sonic, the Hedgehog is one of the most popular manga and gaming characters ever known for three decades. This game with both the modes of singleplayer and multiplayer has earned a global fandom is set with a storyline involving Sonic, the Hedgehog our protagonist, and Miles “ Tails” Prower, a fox known for its twin tails, investigating Dr. Eggman’s interstellar amusement Park, in the quest to stop the evil doctor’s destructive move of enslaving a particular alien race with the motive to take the control of the entire world. How good and cool is that? 

With the development of Sonic colors having begun in 2008, the game was published by Sega and was finally released in 2010. There were two adaptations for the game, one was for the Wii by Sonic Team and the other one for the Nintendo DS by Dimps. As the Sega Sonic series was released in 1990, this year 2021 is the 30th anniversary of the Sonic Hedgehog. Feel old already? To add more to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Sonic, we are getting an upgraded and advanced release of Sonic Colours in the name of Sonic Colours Ultimate. Hyped up already? This game is all set to be released on September 7th, 2021. We can certainly expect fascinating features with more realistic gameplay compared to the previous version in 2010. 

Sonic Colors Ultimate Mode

The 2010 version of the game, Sonic Colors was released with both single-player and multiplayer features enabling the players to play online as well as offline. The upcoming ultimate remastered version, Sonic Colors Ultimate reportedly comes with both single-player and multiplayer features with online as well offline modes enabled with 1-2 players. So the answer is certain that you can play the game offline!
